FC Köln ready to offer Chelsea and Newcastle target Saïd El Mala improved offer
FC Köln President Jörn Stobbe has confirmed that the Bundesliga side are ready to offer Saïd El Mala an improved contract amid interest from the Premier League.
“Of course, we will make him an offer with our network – not just financial, but also in other areas,” Stobbe told L’Immo, via Geissblog. “We can offer him an environment where he can develop wonderfully. He’s a very young player, highly talented and has already proved that.”
El Mala has struck 11 goals and provided four assists in 29 Bundesliga appearances for the Billy Goats in 2025/26, his maiden season in Germany’s top flight, which has attracted interest from Brighton and Hove Albion, Chelsea and Newcastle United.
Per Geissblog, Köln are aware that they won’t be able to keep hold of El Mala forever, but Effzeh are not dependent on selling the youngster this summer, although no final decision has yet been made with a potential sale possible should the price be right.
As reported earlier, El Mala’s current valuation stands at €50m.
