1 linebacker the Steelers can target in every round of 2026 NFL Draft

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been linked to linebacker trade rumors throughout the offseason, particularly when it comes to Pro Bowler Patrick Queen.

If the Steelers ultimately decide to rebuild their linebacker corps with an exceptionally strong pool to choose from in the 2026 NFL Draft, these per-round prospects would be ideal fits.

First round: CJ Allen, Georgia

An elite run defender that excels at reading and filling gaps to blow up runners before they can get going, Allen is exactly what the Steelers would want out of a linebacker prospect — a day-one starter.

Second round: Jake Golday, Cincinnati

Golday, a massive 6 foot 4 specimen at the linebacker position, is as explosive as they come, favoring power over quickness as both a run defender and blitzer.

Third round: Kyle Louis, Pittsburgh

Louis doesn't have the traits to wow the Steelers as a run defender, but he is one of the most underrated and complete pass coverage linebackers in his class.

Fourth round: Deontae Lawson, Alabama

Lawson would be a solid Day 3 pickup for the Steelers, a standout run defender with pass coverage upside that wouldn't cost the team much draft capital late in the fourth round.
