Preußen Münster faces Arminia Bielefeld in a crucial 2. Bundesliga match on Saturday. Both teams are struggling at the bottom of the table, with Münster seeking to improve their position after a recent win.
Bundesliga Preview: Preußen Münster vs. Arminia Bielefeld
Bundesliga’s bottom-placed teams Preußen Münster and Arminia Bielefeld will lock horns on Saturday afternoon. The hosts only picked up two points in their last six matches after a surprise win in Eintracht Braunschweig ended a similar run of results.
Arminia Bielefeld dropped to 17th place after wins for Eintracht Braunschweig and Fortuna Düsseldorf on Friday evening. Mitch Kniat’s side beat promotion hopefuls Darmstadt after the international break, but they have only picked up a point from the last two games.
A win wouldn’t still be enough to take Preußen Münster off the foot of the standings, but that will certainly get them back into contention for survival. Leon Schneider’s 89th-minute own-goal secured a comeback win for Alexander Ende’s Münster side in the Hinrunde.
Ende is now at direct rivals Düsseldorf, while Alois Schwartz will search for a first win as Münster’s coach in his fourth attempt. However, they will have to do that without their joint-top scorer Etienne Amenyido due to injury.
