The Denver Broncos selected offensive lineman Kage Casey with the 111th overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft. Casey, a versatile player from Boise State, is expected to learn from veteran left tackle Garett Bolles.
The Denver Broncos selected Boise State offensive lineman Kage Casey with the 111th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL draft on Saturday morning.
Casey was primarily a left tackle in college, but has played center and guard. Versatility in a position has been a hallmark of Broncos head coach Sean Payton's draft strategy since taking the wheel in 2023. Casey was a one-time second-team All-Mountain West and a two-time first-team All-Mountain West player in 46 college game over four years.
Casey figures to learn behind one of the top offensive lines in the NFL in his rookie season, specifically under the wing of left tackle Garett Bolles. Casey admitted in a post-draft call with Denver media that he tries to model his game after Bolles, who is the Broncos' longest-tenured player. Bolles finally earned his first Pro Bowl appearance and first first-team All-Pro nod in 2025.
Broncos Wire initial grade: B-
This is a long-term pick. We likely won't see the first action from Casey in 2026, unless something terrible happens to one of the Broncos' starting line. His versatility will be huge when it comes to roster cuts, as Payton loves his offensive linemen who can play anywhere (see Frank Crum catching a touchdown in a playoff game). Casey will need to go up against the best pass-rushers the AFC West has to offer in the coming years.
Kage Casey primarily plays as an offensive lineman, specifically as a left tackle, but he has experience at center and guard.
Kage Casey played 46 games over four years at Boise State, earning second-team All-Mountain West and two first-team All-Mountain West honors.
Broncos Wire initially graded Kage Casey's selection with a B-.
