2026 FIFA World Cup final half-time performers to include South Korean boy band BTS

BTS will be part of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final halftime show, joining a massive global lineup for the tournament’s closing spectacle.

The announcement gives the final another layer of star power beyond the match itself. FIFA is clearly building the July 19 event as more than a soccer game.

With Madonna, Shakira, and BTS involved, the halftime show is being positioned as a global entertainment moment tied to one of the biggest sporting stages in the world.

BTS joins FIFA World Cup final halftime show lineup

As FIFA World Cup announced, the 2026 final halftime show will take place at New York New Jersey Stadium and feature BTS alongside Madonna and Shakira.

“The world’s biggest stage. An even bigger purpose,” the tweet revealed. “On July 19, the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show is coming to New York, New Jersey Stadium, featuring superstars Madonna, Shakira, and BTS, curated by Coldplay‘s Chris Martin!”

The final will be played on July 19 at MetLife Stadium, which FIFA refers to as New York-New Jersey Stadium during the tournament.

For BTS, the appearance is another major global sports moment. Jungkook previously performed “Dreamers” at the 2022 World Cup opening ceremony in Qatar, but this puts the full South Korean group into the final’s spotlight.

It also shows how strongly FIFA wants the 2026 final to reach beyond traditional soccer audiences.
