2026 K League 1 Round 10 Preview
As the K League 1 season begins to take shape, Round 10 brings a series of compelling storylines at both ends of the table. An in-form Gangwon FC side looks to extend its unbeaten run against league leaders FC Seoul in the headline clash, while Incheon United aim to build momentum and break into the top tier of the standings when facing an in-form Jeju SK. Meanwhile, Ulsan HD Heo Yool continues his push for a bigger role as he chases a third goal in as many matches.
Unbeaten-in-four Gangwon FC vs. League leaders FC Seoul
In Round 10, Gangwon FC take on FC Seoul. Both sides are riding high after emphatic 3-0 wins in midweek Round 9 fixtures. Gangwon went winless in their first five matches of the season, but have since turned things around, going unbeaten in four, starting with their first victory in Round 6. In their latest outing against Gimcheon Sangmu, Kim Dae-won netted a brace and Abdallah Hleihel added another in a 3-0 win. Kim has been especially impressive, featuring in every match this season and recording three goals and two assists with his sharp control and precise finishing. At the back, Lee Gi-hyuk has contributed stability, while also helping transition play with his ability to beat pressure and deliver forward passes. In-form Gangwon now look to extend their unbeaten run to five matches with a result against Seoul.
League leaders FC Seoul suffered their first defeat of the season in Round 8 (0–1 vs. Daejeon), but bounced back with a 3–0 win over Bucheon FC 1995 in Round 9. They currently sit five points clear of second-place Ulsan, with a well-balanced record of 19 goals scored and just five conceded in nine matches. One of Seoul’s biggest strengths is their attacking variety, with nine different players getting on the scoresheet, including on five goals and Song Min-kyu on three goals. They also rank among the league leaders in key metrics such as shots on target percentage (43.8%, 1st) and cross success rate (24.6%, 2nd). Seoul will look to solidify their position at the top.
The key matches include Gangwon FC vs. FC Seoul and Incheon United vs. Jeju SK.

The two sides have been evenly matched in recent meetings, with two wins, one draw, and two losses each across their last five encounters. Their first clash of the season takes place on Saturday, April 25th at 2:00 PM at Gangneung High1 Arena.
An into-the-top-half Incheon United
Incheon United claimed a 2-1 come-from-behind win over reigning champions Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in Round 9, thanks to goals from Lee Myung-joo and Lee Dong-ryul. It marked their first away win at Jeonbuk since August 2015, making it a particularly meaningful result.
Incheon have shown a tendency to start strong in matches this season, with eight of their 13 goals coming in the first half. However, against Jeonbuk, they demonstrated resilience in coming from behind with a strong second-half performance. Notably, beyond Stefan Mugosa - who has scored seven goals and accounts for over half the team’s total - both Lee Myung-joo and Lee Dong-ryul opened their accounts for the season, which is an encouraging sign.
Defensively, they were solid as well. Choi Seung-gu and Lee Ju-yong held firm at full back, while Juan Ibiza and Park Kyung-seop dealt with dangerous crosses effectively. Maintaining focus on both ends of the pitch, Incheon addressed previous weaknesses and have laid the foundation for a push toward the top half of the table.
Incheon face Jeju in Round 10. Jeju are also in good form after a 1–0 win over Daejeon in Round 9. Their first meeting of the season kicks off at 4:30 PM on Saturday, April 25th at Incheon Football Stadium.
Ulsan's man in form Heo Yool
Ulsan HD conceded first against FC Anyang in Round 9 but salvaged a 1-1 draw thanks to a headed equalizer from Heo Yool.
Heo has now scored in back-to-back matches, following his goal in Round 8 against Gwangju, and is showing excellent scoring form. Although he is often used as a substitute while competing with Yago Caroello and Marcao for the starting striker role, he has made a strong impression with his explosive attacking impact in limited minutes.
His strengths are also reflected in his physical play. Standing at 192 cm, Heo has dominated in aerial duels, recording four successful aerial challenges across the last two matches.
Ulsan will rely on Heo’s scoring momentum as they face Daejeon in this round. The two sides are evenly matched in their last 10 meetings (4 wins, 2 draws, 4 losses each). Their first clash of the season will take place on Sunday, April 26th at 4:30 PM at Ulsan Munsu Football Stadium.
