2026 NFL Draft: 6 prospects the Falcons could target on Day 2

The 2026 NFL Draft got off to a wild start, and while Day 1 didn't go the way that many expected, several talented players remain on the board for the Atlanta Falcons. The team has two selections on Day 2, starting with pick No. 48 and ending with pick No. 79 overall.

With needs at wide receiver, defensive tackle and linebacker, the Falcons can focus on taking the best player available in the second and third rounds. 15 teams are picking ahead of Atlanta on Round 2, and most of the team's top targets are still on the board.

Here's a look at six remaining prospects who would make sense for the Falcons on Day 2 of the 2026 NFL Draft.

1. CB Avieon Terrell, Clemson

The brother of Falcons cornerback A.J. Terrell, Clemson's Avieon Terrell, would be a steal at pick No. 48. While cornerback isn't a huge need, Terrell would be tough to pass on. Atlanta already has a talented secondary and Terrell's fearless playing style would fit right in. He was ranked No. 23 on PFF's big board ahead of the draft.

"Terrell's lack of length may limit him to zone-heavy schemes, but his elite football IQ and playmaking instincts give him starting potential across multiple systems," wrote PFF.

2. DT Christen Miller, Georgia

Miller has been a popular projection for the Falcons in mock drafts and it's easy to see why. The Georgia standout would provide the perfect blend of talent, need and value for Atlanta at pick No. 48. If Miller is on the board, it's hard to imagine the Falcons passing. NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah has Miller ranked as the 46th prospect in the draft.

"Miller has ideal size and average length for his position," wrote Jerremiah. "He aligned up and down the line in Georgia’s defense. He’s at his best utilizing his quickness on the interior. As a pass rusher, he has a quick first step and offers swipe/club moves."
