As a true freshman, Williams led the Tigers with 56 receptions for 604 yards and four touchdowns. He earned freshman All-American honors and was also named honorable-mention All-ACC.
Williams' stepfather, Murphy Holloway, was South Carolina's Mr. Basketball once upon a time before heading to , where he played for four years. Holloway then played professional basketball overseas for a decade. Due to his impressive 6-foot-7, 240-pound frame, Holloway earned a tryout with the in 2013.
Antonio Williams had a productive career at Clemson, showcasing his skills primarily in the slot position.

During his first two years at Dutch Fork High School in Irmo, South Carolina, Williams was teammates with future Tennessee star wide receiver Jalin Hyatt, who enters his fourth NFL season in 2026.
Early in his high school career, Williams played some quarterback. He threw passes, caught passes, ran the ball and returned kicks. He did that with the Tigers, too. He should be a fun new weapon for offensive coordinator David Blough.
Daniel Jeremiah compared Williams to current Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed, a 2023 second-round pick. Jeremiah wasn't the only to compare Williams to Reed.
Not only did Williams succeed on the field, but he was also an excellent student, earning Academic All-ACC honors twice. He graduated in December with a degree in parks, recreation and tourism management.
