IPL 2026: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi hits four sixes off Praful Hinge!
The Cleveland Browns selected quarterback Taylen Green from Arkansas with the 182nd pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Green, a dual-threat quarterback, is noted for his physical traits but has shown inconsistency in his performance.

Here is a scouting report from The Athleticâs **Dane Brugler**, who had Green as the seventh-ranked quarterback prospect on his board in this yearâs draft class:
A two-year starter at Arkansas (and four-year starter overall), Green was a dual-threat quarterback in former offensive coordinator Bobby Petrinoâs balanced, spread scheme. After three years at Boise State, he blossomed in Fayetteville and in 2025 ranked No. 3 in the SEC in total yards per game (290.9). He has been one of the most productive quarterbacks in college football â over the past two seasons, he ranked No. 1 in the FBS in plays of 10-plus yards (315) and 20-plus yards (109).
Taylen Green ranked No. 3 in the SEC in total yards per game with 290.9 and had 94 combined passing/rushing touchdowns in 53 career college games.
Taylen Green adds depth to the quarterback room and offers a dual-threat option, but his inconsistency raises questions about his immediate impact on the team.
Taylen Green was developed under former offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino at Arkansas, where he thrived in a balanced, spread scheme.
Concerns about Taylen Green include his inconsistency in reading defenses and a high number of turnovers, with 37 combined turnovers over the past two seasons.

One of the most physically gifted players in the 2026 draft class (at any position), Green is big, athletic and competes with NFL-required toughness. He is a playmaker outside the pocket (with both his arm and legs), and his highlight package is full of âwowâ moments. However, he is inconsistent working through his reads, and you hold your breath every time he throws over the middle. He takes too many unnecessary chances â he committed a combined 37 turnovers the past two seasons (20 interceptions, 17 fumbles).
Green needs to take better care of the football and refine his mechanics and passing rhythm, but he offers the physical traits and high character worth molding in a read-option, vertical passing game. Here is DBNâs draft profile on Green.
Here is DBNâs draft profile on Green. Well, isnât this interesting? Head coach Todd Monken had great success as offensive coordinator working with quarterback Lamar Jackson in Baltimore. And while it would be absurd to compare Green to Jackson, Monken should have some ideas on how to get the most out of a dual-threat quarterback like Green. Green has good size, and had 94 combined passing/rushing touchdowns in 53 career college games. He is inconsistent, however, so no one really knows what he can do at the pro level. But everyone loves a late-round quarterback in Cleveland, so Green may have a chance to stick on the roster this fall. The question is, who would be the odd man out in that scenario?
