For the third time in the fifth round, the Miami Dolphins have made a pick. After selecting safety Michael Taaffe with the 158th pick and wide receiver Kevin Coleman, Jr., with the 177th pick, Miami came back on the clock with the 180th selection. They used the pick to acquire Mississippi State tight end Seydou Traore.
Traore is a product of the NFL’s International Pathway Program, having been born in France before moving to the United Kingdom. He began his career as a wide receiver at Arkansas State, but converted to tight end. He spent two seasons at Arkansas State before transferring to Colorado for a semester, but never played. He spent 2023 through 2025 at Mississippi State.
Miami’s previous selections have included tackle Kadyn Proctor and cornerback Chris Johnson in the first round; linebacker Jacob Rodriguez in the second round wide receiver; Caleb Douglas, tight end Will Kacmarek, and wide receiver Chris Bell in the third round; edge rusher Trey Moore and linebacker Kyle Louis in the fourth round; and safety Michael Taaffe and receiver Kevin Coleman, Jr., in the fifth round.
In his five seasons, he recorded 126 receptions for 1,404 yards with 10 touchdowns.
The Dolphins were originally without a sixth-round pick when the Draft started, but through all the deals they have made, they picked up the 200th selection, which will be the next time they are on the clock.
