Packers not expecting to play Lions in Munich in 2026
Packers president says Lions want home game, not Munich in 2026
The 2026 NFL Draft will see several teams, including the Seahawks, with fewer than seven draft picks. These teams face challenges in adding talent compared to those with more draft capital.
2026 NFL Draft picks: Seahawks among teams with least selections
The NFL draft is universally regarded as the best way for the league's 32 teams to add talent to their rosters. A handful of clubs will have trouble doing that during the 2026 NFL Draft.
Several NFL teams are short on draft capital, as five teams have fewer than the traditional seven selections the league assigns at the beginning of each draft cycle.
That's not to say these teams will be unable to make significant improvements with their selections. They simply won't be afforded the same volume of opportunities as their capital-rich peers unless they successfully orchestrate some trade-downs.
Here's a look at which teams have the fewest selections entering the 2026 NFL Draft.
New Orleans Saints
Tyler Shough #6 of the New Orleans Saints and Chris Olave #12 celebrate a touchdown during the second half against the Carolina Panthers in the game at Bank of America Stadium on November 09, 2025, in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Washington Commanders
Terry McLaurin #17 of the Washington Commanders celebrates with Jayden Daniels #5 after catching a pass for a touchdown during the second quarter against the Detroit Lions in the NFC Divisional Playoff at Ford Field on January 18, 2025, in Detroit, Michigan.
Several teams, including the Seahawks, have fewer than the traditional seven draft picks for the 2026 NFL Draft.
Teams with fewer draft picks have limited opportunities to add talent, making it crucial for them to consider trade-downs to increase their selections.
Teams with low draft capital can improve their situation by successfully orchestrating trade-downs to acquire more picks.
The NFL Draft is a key opportunity for teams to add talent to their rosters and improve their overall performance.

The Seattle Seahawks have the fewest picks in the 2026 NFL Draft. The reigning Super Bowl champions are set to have just four selections, as all but one of Seattle's Day 3 picks were exhausted in a 2024 trade for defensive lineman Roy Robertson-Harris and the team's 2025 trade deadline acquisition of wide receiver Rashid Shaheed.
The Seahawks' four total selections are their fewest since the 2021 NFL Draft, when they made just three total picks. None of those players β wide receiver Dee Eskridge, cornerback Tre Brown and offensive tackle Stone Forsythe β remain with the team.
