2026 NFL Draft Preview: Jack Stonehouse

With the 2026 NFL Draft beginning tonight, we take a look at the two Syracuse players with the best odds of being selected….up first is the latest alum of #PunterU, Jack Stonehouse.

Punting at the professional level has always been in Stonehouse’s blood. His father, John, punted for the New York Giants, and his cousin Ryan punted for the Tennessee Titans. But now, it is Jack’s turn to take his talents to the National Football League, and here is what we have heard leading into the Draft in Pittsburgh this weekend.

Stonehouse Draft Position:

Stonehouse is widely known as either the first or second-ranked punter heading into the 2026 NFL Draft, either behind or in front of Georgia’s Brett Thorson. This sort of ranking allows Stonehouse to more than likely hear his name called on Saturday, possibly toward the end of the draft in the 7th round, or right after the draft ends as a priority free agent, according to NFL analyst Lance Zierlein.

• Stonehouse has been closely linked with the , as he has not only met with general manager Brandon Beane, assistant GM Brian Gaine, and head coach Joe Brady, but he has also spent time on a podcast titled Buffalo Fanatics (posted below) to discuss the possibility of him ending up there.
