Now, letâs see what the Brownsâ second- and third-round mock draft picks are. Keep in mind that these projections try to estimate who might be left on the board when those picks come up. As a reminder, here is how the first round went for Cleveland in the mock draft:
The selection and write-up were made by fjblessi:
I truly struggled with this pick. Several players interested me here, but Iâm not sure any of them would have still been there and I believe there will still be a wide receiver available at No. 70. Therefore, I went the other way and decided to pick a player who I think will be a good NFL player who may not be available at No. 70. It is a little early based on most rankings Iâve seen, but he is a player I really like, so I went for it. With pick No. 39 in the 2026 NFL draft, the Browns select Gennings Dunker, Guard from Iowa.
Dunker played tackle in college, but like Joel Bitonio, projects as a guard at the NFL level. Gennings is a dominant run blocker with heavy hands who can move defenders and create space. He also has a high football IQ and recognizes stunts and has a strong base to withstand the pass rush. He doesnât have great lateral agility which would be a hindrance at tackle vs. speed rushers but with a move inside this wonât be an issue. Gennings can be the base of our OL for the next 10 years making him worth that pick at No. 39.
The selection and write-up were made by COSP:
The Browns continue to fill roster holes by selecting DâAngelo Ponds, who dropped some due to his diminutive stature.
At 5â9âł 182, a lot of teams shy away from him. Make no mistake, heâs a first-round talent. With Martin Emerson being gone, the Brownsâ thin cornerback room gets a surprise boost from a real playmaker. Watch the tape of Indianaâs championship run and he jumps off the screen. Ponds can play multiple positions in the secondary.
Thanks again to everyone who participated and digested the 2026 DBN Community NFL Mock Draft.
