The biggest question facing every WNBA team in training camp
WNBA training camps open with key questions for each team.
The Dallas Cowboys have selected Tennessee cornerback Jermod Iverson McCoy with the 20th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. This decision comes after a notably poor defensive season, highlighting the team's need for improvement on that side of the ball.

As the old idiom goes, defense wins championships, not the Dallas Cowboys. Coming off an historically bad (even by Dallas standards) season for almost all recorded and reported defensive statistics, the Arlington Brain Trust has come to the brilliant conclusion that trading away the 20th pick in this 2026 draft would be completely and utterly daft, and so shall the pick be made.
With the 20th pick in the 2026 BGN Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select Tennessee Vols CB Jermod Iverson McCoy. A linebacker may have been preferred, but none were worth the reach at this point. With a new edge rusher already selected at 12, the Cowboys are left with glaring holes at pretty much every other position on D, so BPA is the way to go and at 20, Iverson McCoy is simply the best.
With elite acceleration and burst coupled with speed at long range, and insane body control at the break point, he can cover any WR and any route. He can play finesse and bully the shat out of WRs of all sizes. His football acumen and mental acuity is unmatched arguably by all other DBs in this draft. He did tear an ACL which had kept him out of football for a worrisome amount of time but he shut down all his doubters and naysayers at his pro day performance, posting a 4.37 40, 10′ 7″ broad jump and a 38″ vert. ACL un-torn.
Them boys need help right away but McCoy is too good to pass up at 20 as he could have easily gone top 10 if not for the injury and is still at least a top 15 athlete in this draft. He may have to sit for a teeny tiny bit but he will be worth the wait and will soon become a bi-yearly nightmare for his division rivals and the guy opposing QBs are looking out for pre-snap. He will go down as the best Iverson and/or McCoy to ever play any professional sport. Colin Cowherd is already hailing this as the steal of the 2026 BGN Draft and yet another purely brilliant move by the Joneses. Try to keep up, rest of the league.
Now it’s YOUR TURN to vote for who you think should be selected with this pick.
