2027 four-star offensive lineman DeMarrion Johnson, a Texas A&M commit, reportedly visited Texas despite stating he has shut down his recruitment. His only official visit is still scheduled with Texas A&M in June.

Texas A&M's 2027 recruiting class features 12 commitments, all considered blue-chip prospects, led by five-star edge Zyron Forstall, five-star safety Kamrui Dorsey, and five-star cornerback Raylaun Henry, who are all widely considered immediate impact players. Now predicted to land six more five-star prospects, including versatile offensive lineman Kennedy Brown, third-year head coach Mike Elko and his staff are just getting started.
However, after making significant traction with Brown and fellow five-star offensive lineman Mark Matthews, who recently visited the Aggies last weekend, one of the program's commits, four-star OL DeMarrion Johnson, reportedly took a recent visit to Austin with the Texas Longhorns, sparking plenty of conversation after the Tyler (TX) native publicly stated that he has "shut down" his recruitment.
Still, thanks to AggieYell recruiting expert Jaxson Callaway's steadfast reporting on the subject, Inside Texas's Justin Wells confirmed the visit, but also stated that, despite head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff being pushing for Johnson to return for an official visit this summer, Johnson does not plan to return, as of now.
Callaway confirmed that Johnson's only official visit remains with Texas A&M on June 12-15, but if the Aggies end up landing Kennedy Brown and Mark Matthews, I could easily see Johnson at least considering other options. His future with the Aggies is still in a very good place.
