Alabama Crimson Tide will face Kentucky Wildcats in a three-game series starting Friday. Alabama, with a record of 39-4, aims to recover from a recent loss to Samford, with expectations for star catcher Alexis Pupillo to excel.
The Alabama Crimson Tide will begin a three-game weekend set against the Kentucky Wildcats on Friday night.
Alabama enters the series following a shocking loss to Samford on Tuesday night, as the Tide currently hold an overall record of 39-4 (12-3 SEC) following the loss. Star catcher Alexis Pupillo struggled at the plate, but the talented playmaker will look to bounce back against Kentucky this weekend.
Here are three bold predictions for Alabama’s three-game series vs. Kentucky this weekend.
April 2, 2026; Tuscaloosa, AL, USA; Alabama batter Alexis Pupillo rounds first after hitting a single at Rhoads Stadium as Number 1 Texas and Number 4 Alabama play an SEC series.
Pupillo has been widely regarded as one of the top catchers in all of college softball this season. The senior could find herself bouncing back this weekend following an 0-for-3 performance at the plate against Samford, as Pupillo has been nothing short of elite throughout the majority of the 2026 campaign.
Pupillo and the Tide as a whole will need to bounce back offensively this weekend, as the catcher continues to shine on a nightly basis despite her struggles earlier in the week.
Briski continues to dominate on a nightly basis in Tuscaloosa this season. The star pitcher recorded seven innings pitched while surrendering just six hits during last Friday’s 1-0 victory over Auburn, as Briski will undoubtedly look to stay red hot against the Wildcats this weekend.
Briski recorded eight total strikeouts against Auburn last week as well, as the Crimson Tide star will play a key role once again this weekend vs. Kentucky.
Alabama enters the series with an overall record of 39-4 and a 12-3 record in the SEC.
Star catcher Alexis Pupillo is expected to bounce back and may hit 2 or more home runs during the series.
The series against Kentucky begins on Friday night.

March 14, 2026; Tuscaloosa, AL, USA; Alabama starting pitcher Vic Moten (00) makes a pitch at Rhoads Stadium as Alabama played Arkansas.
Both Moten and Briski have been borderline unhittable at times this season. Moten surrendered just one hit and three walks over seven innings pitched during last Saturday’s 4-0 win over Auburn, as Moten continues to make a name for herself during what has been an elite freshman campaign.
The star flamethrower will look to keep things rolling against Kentucky this weekend, as Moten has been lights out throughout the entirety of 2026.
Alabama will begin their three-game set against the Wildcats on Friday at 5 p.m. CT, as the Tide will look to bounce back following the loss to Samford.
