It’s series finale time, and it’s day baseball for the second day in a row as the San Francisco Giants battle the Miami Marlins for the third time.
It’s Landen Roupp day for the Giants, as burly righty makes his sixth start of the season. Roupp has been the Giants best pitcher this year, and is 4-1 with a 2.28 ERA, a 2.42 FIP, and 31 strikeouts to 12 walks in 27.2 innings. He’s given up one or fewer runs in three straight starts, including his last one, when he allowed one run in five innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
For the Marlins, it’s right-hander Max Meyer, the No. 3 overall pick in 2020. Meyer has made five starts this year, and is 1-0 with a 3.96 ERA, a 3.51 FIP, and 28 strikeouts against 11 walks in 25 innings. Meyer gave up two runs in 5.1 innings against the St. Louis Cardinals in his last start.
