With the schedule, there are a few takeaways.
The Cardinals will play three of their first four games on the road and open on the road for the fourth consecutive year. They face the Chargers, 49ers and Giants, all away games, in the first four games.
If you like routine, this is great, but the Cardinals get no national exposure. They get no prime-time games, not even a Thursday night game.
Of course, they are not expected to be competitive, and they have the least interesting starting quarterback in the league.
The Cardinals will not get a week off until Week 14, the latest bye week the league has. If they by chance happen to be in the playoff picture, the week off in December will be a boost. If they are not, then it means a long wait before the bodies get to rest.
While the Cardinals play three of their first four games on the road, State Farm Stadium will be a busy place late in the year. They will play five of their final six games at home, and because they have the late bye week, they will be on the road once in the final seven weeks of the season.
