The San Francisco 49ers are a top contender for the Super Bowl this upcoming season, and they are looking to further improve their team this offseason if an opportunity presents itself.
While the edge rusher room is one area the team very well could upgrade, the 49ers might also be looking to upgrade their secondary.
If the 49ers want to go cornerback, Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report linked San Francisco to an intriguing option in Indianapolis Colts CB Kenny Moore. But, more importantly, at a very reasonable price tag.
"Projected Trade Value: 2027 6th-round pick," Knox writes. "Potential suitors: Cleveland Browns, San Francisco 49ers."
With the 49ers potentially in need of a CB upgrade, adding someone like Moore would make a fair bit of sense at this value. Though this would be a bit of a tricky fit.

The 49ers are looking to strengthen their secondary as they prepare for a Super Bowl run.
Kenny Moore is linked to a trade at a very reasonable price, although specific figures are not disclosed.

For starters, a 6th-round pick for Moore would be well-worth it for any team in need of cornerback help.
Last year for the Colts, Moore had a pick-six and held quarterbacks to an 87.8 passer rating when he was targeted. That's a strong year, and with his 21 career interceptions and four pick-sixes, Moore is someone who would be a lot of fun to acquire.
However, while the 49ers could land Moore at a very reasonable price, the fit with the 49ers' defense is a tab bit odd.
Moore is a slot cornerback, and typically doesn't play on the outside much. For the 49ers, that would mean that Moore would replace Upton Stout, a second-year player who showed some promise in his rookie season.
While Moore would be an upgrade over Stout, the 49ers might be better off skipping on adding someone like Moore, unless one of Stout or Moore could move to the outside.
Knox linked the 49ers to Moore, and he would be a nice pickup in theory, especially at the cost of a 6th-round pick. But the odd fit in the 49ers' defense makes this a trade not likely to come to fruition.
