It would be a massive appointment for Chelsea if they could get this done, something that Carragher is forced to admit. The Sky Sports pundit was a team mate of Alonso’s at Liverpool, so they will know each other well, which makes these comments even more interesting.
In quotes picked up by The Chelsea Chronicle, Carragher said last night:
“I think that would be a big coup for Chelsea. I am sure he would love to manage Liverpool one day, but Chelsea is one of the biggest clubs in European Football at the moment.”
