Welcome back to A Pod of Their Own, an all-women led Home Run Applesauce podcast where we talk all things Mets, social justice issues in baseball, and normalize female voices in the sports podcasting space.

This week, we begin by wondering—still in April, mind you—if the season can be saved and if Carlos Mendoza’s job can be saved, as the Mets ride a losing streak that is currently 11 games long. We also discuss Jorge Polanco’s trip to the injured list, Juan Soto’s imminent return from the injured list, and the starting pitching Titanic deck chair shuffling.

As if the vibes weren’t rancid enough, we also talked about Francisco Lindor’s appearance on Barstool’s podcast and reporting by Bradford William-Davis on Mike Clevinger’s abuse, for which he was not suspended by MLB.
