Aaron Donald has continued to stay busy in retirement, and not just by living in the gym for 18 hours a day. He has his Ready sports drink, real estate ventures and he’s now partnering with ESPN in an attempt to make youth sports more accessible to young athletes.
ESPN announced this week that Donald has joined “Take Back Sports” as an athlete ambassador, using his AD99 Foundation to help kids gain opportunities to play sports.
Here’s the official announcement from ESPN, as well as Donald’s statement on this exciting new initiative.
ESPN launched "Take Back Sports" last year, teaming up with Steph and Ayesha Curry in the early stages. The goal is to get 63% of kids playing sports by 2030, a number that sat at just 38.3% for kids between 6 and 12 years old in 2023.
Donald has hosted youth football camps in the past, so this is a natural fit for him – especially having young kids of his own.
