There have been very few players in baseball history better than Aaron Judge and Mike Trout.
And on Monday night, the New York Yankees took on the Los Angeles Angels, meaning those two legends got to share one field. They made the most of the stage.
Judge homered twice.
Trout homered twice.
In the end, the Yankees won a wild 11-10 game, which almost managed to overshadow these two all-timers. Almost.
But it's actually one of the rarest occurrences in baseball history for this duo.
Only three times before this had two multi-time MVPs (at the time of the game) hit multiple home runs in the same game, according to MLB Network's Sarah Langs.
The first time was in 1956 in the National League, when Roy Campanella did it for the Dodgers and Stan Musial did it for the Cardinals.
And the other two times came on July 3 and July 6 in 1962, by teammates. Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle had a pair of multi-HR games within just days of each other that season for the New York Yankees.

Trout and Judge are even a bit rarer. They've each won three MVP awards.
That's incredible company. It's also been 64 years since Maris and Mantle did it.
Obviously, it's not often that all these circumstances overlap, but on Monday they did.
Trout has had a rough go of it with injuries, but he looks more like himself this season. Judge started the year a bit slow, but this looks like he's figuring things out.
It's hard to overstate how special this game was, though. It doesn't get much better than the show put on by two of the greatest players to ever step onto a diamond.
