Tennessee State senior Aaron Nkrumah is among the five standouts from the 2026 G League combine invited to the draft combine this week in Chicago, Illinois.
Nkrumah was the Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year, averaging 17.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, three assists and 2.8 steals while shooting 35.1% from 3-point range. He led the conference in scoring, while ranking second in the country in total steals (92).
The 6-foot-6 guard was initially invited to the G League combine as a replacement player and will now compete in the draft combine, along with George Washington forward Rafael Castro, USC forward Jacob Cofie, St. John's forward Bryce Hopkins and Purdue forward Trey Kaufman-Renn.
The five players selected, voted on by teams, will join the 73 prospects announced on May 1 as combine participants. The event tips off on Monday, with the players competing in 5-on-5 games, strength and agility testing, shooting drills and other exercises.
The combine this year marks the third time prospects will be required to participate in drills and scrimmages, as outlined in the collective bargaining agreement. Prospects can be ruled ineligible to be drafted if they skip certain portions without sufficient reasoning.
