If we knew that Aaron Rodgers wanted to return to the NFL already, there wouldn’t be a lot to talk about.
However, unfortunately for the Pittsburgh Steelers in a sense, we don't even know if Rodgers wants to continue to play. If he had come out and said that he wants to continue playing, there would be some worries that it wouldn't be in Pittsburgh if he hadn't made that decision yet, but he hasn't done so either way.
Regardless, some are starting to take the hint that Rodgers might want to continue playing, even if that isn't in Pittsburgh.
To start things off, I'd be extremely shocked if Rodgers doesn't continue playing in Pittsburgh if he decides to keep playing.
He has a great relationship with head coach Mike McCarthy, and I expect that to be the deciding factor in all of this. Despite that reality, some don't think that's the case any longer, with him recently being linked to the Arizona Cardinals.
“Looking around the NFL, there aren't too many teams in need of a starting quarterback at this point, but there's definitely one intriguing option: The Arizona Cardinals. At this point, their QB situation is still up in the air. Going into April, Jacoby Brissett appeared to have the inside track, but he's skipping the team's voluntary workouts because he wants to be paid like a starter. Instead of giving Brissett more money, the Cardinals could simply call Rodgers and offer that money to him…
“Now, here's where things get even more interesting. The Cardinals just hired a new offensive coordinator this year in Nathaniel Hackett, who just happens to be best friends with Rodgers. When the QB signed with the Jets in 2023, he essentially brought Hackett with him to New York. The two have a relationship that dates back to their time in Green Bay. Hackett was the offensive coordinator for three seasons with the (2019-21), and Rodgers just happened to win two MVP awards in that span,” John Breech of CBS .
Aaron Rodgers has not publicly confirmed his intention to return to the NFL.
Speculation indicates that Aaron Rodgers may consider teams other than the Pittsburgh Steelers if he decides to continue playing.
The current status of Aaron Rodgers' NFL career is uncertain, as he has not stated whether he wants to continue playing.

From a pure team standpoint, I definitely understand why Rodgers with the Cardinals would make a lot of sense. However, it feels like Rodgers will want to play for a team with a bit more history that he knows has a chance to win. Not that the Steelers are exactly in a position to win a Super Bowl, but they are a better team than Arizona right now.
