There's no formal agreement yet in place, but Steelers president Art Rooney II told NFL Network last week that he remained confident Rodgers would be the team's quarterback in 2026, although the Steelers had initially said they anticipated an answer from Rodgers before the April draft.
The 42-year-old Rodgers was given a rare unrestricted free agent tender by the Steelers, increasing the likelihood that he'd be back with Pittsburgh if he played for anyone in 2026.
