Teams now have the ability to challenge a pitch if they think it’s a ball or a strike. They can challenge as many times as they would like, just as long as they don’t lose a challenge twice in nine innings. If the game goes to extra innings, each team gets one challenge per inning, regardless of whether they lose two in the first nine innings. Now, Kentucky fans and SEC fans will get to see ABS at the SEC Tournament in Hoover, Alabama later this month. The SEC is the first college conference to implement ABS. It’s going to be very similar to Major League Baseball, but teams will have three challenges in the SEC Tournament.
