BOSTON -- The Philadelphia 76ers will be looking to keep their season alive on Tuesday when they pay a visit to the Boston Celtics in Game 5 of their Round 1 series. After a 32-point loss in Game 4 at home on Sunday, the Sixers will be focused on playing desperate basketball to avoid elimination in a 3-1 hole in this series.
"It’s a big game," Adem Bona said at shootaround on Tuesday. "Game 5. We need it. I know we’re prepared. We’re gonna go out there and give our best, give all our effort, and do everything that we can do."
Bona started the first three games of this series with Joel Embiid sidelined, but with the big fella back, he was third-string in Game 4 behind Embiid and Andre Drummond. If Bona were to receive a look in this contest--which he should--then Philadelphia will need him to produce at a high level.
Coach Nick Nurse stated that he had hurt his wrist after the Game 4 loss, but the second-year big man from UCLA said that he is just fine. His focus is on making the right adjustments again in preparation for a win-or-go-home situation.
"When you play the same team over again, sometimes it gets tiring, but I think it’s the mental game that we gotta focus and try to make the right adjustments," Bona added. "Also, applying it quick. It just comes down to the mental game and making the right adjustments every game."
The Sixers and the Celtics will tip off at 7 p.m. EDT.
