Aaron Rodgers, Rookie of the Year odds, defensive expectations
Aaron Rodgers' potential move to the Cardinals and Rookie of the Year odds discussed
The latest Aggregate 2026 NBA Mock Draft highlights a strong class of guards and versatile forwards ahead of the draft lottery. The rankings are based on insights from various sports analysts and reflect the consensus view of potential top picks.
With the draft lottery a few days away, we put together the latest notes on this year's class. HoopsHype’s fifth Aggregate 2026 Mock NBA Draft includes intel from conversations with coaches, executives, and scouts.
Unlike last year's guard-light class, 2026 brings a wave of shot-making guards, versatile forwards and wings. However, there are a few standout bigs, which will see some reaches as a result. But the big question: who separates from the pack after the top three picks?
NOTE: These rankings reflect the composite score to get a feel for the overall consensus, not our own opinion. For this Aggregate Mock Draft, we used mocks from ESPN, NBADraft.net, CBS Sports, The Athletic, Bleacher Report, Babcock Hoops, SB Nation, USA Today Sports and No Ceilings.

Statistics: 25.5 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 3.7 apg, 1.1 spg, 0.3 bpg, 51.0% FG, 33.1% 3P in 35 games
AJ Dybantsa already produces like a pro. A powerful, skilled forward who scores at three levels and rebounds outside his area code, he passes, dribbles and shoots (1.058 PPP, top 25%) while defending one through four (0.755 PPP allowed). The tape backs it up. He's still a teenager, but a quick learning curve has him playing like a vet. One pro scout told HoopsHype: "AJ showed a lot more improvement throughout the year as a playmaker. His scoring talent is so bankable. He's bigger than Darryn Peterson, and that matters."
Kansas Jayhawks guard Darryn Peterson (22) looks back after scoring against Kansas State Wildcats during the Sunflower Showdown game inside Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Kansas, on Saturday, March 7, 2026.

Statistics: 20.2 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 1.6 apg, 1.4 spg, 0.6 bpg, 43.8% FG, 38.2% 3P in 24 games
Peterson is a smooth, scoring guard with real shooting touch. He's flashed as an explosive playmaker yet, while his deadeye three-point shot and above-average defensive ability (0.890 PPP allowed) suggest a high-floor shot-making combo guard, at the very least. Can he create for others at the next level, though?
A pro scout told HoopsHype: "I'm worried about Darryn's playmaking. The reason you draft a guy like that No. 1 is you're running your team's offense through him. Him as an initiator is what would make him the number one guy. If he's a great scorer, that's a totally different thing."
Mar 29, 2026; Washington, DC, USA; Duke Blue Devils forward Cameron Boozer (12) rebounds the ball against the UConn Huskies in the first half during an Elite Eight game of the East Regional of the men's 2026 NCAA Tournament at Capital One Arena. Mandatory Credit: Geoff Burke-Imagn Images

Statistics: 22.5 ppg, 10.2 rpg, 4.1 apg, 1.4 spg, 0.6 bpg, 55.6% FG, 39.1% 3P in 38 games
Boozer is a bruising, skilled big with old-school footwork and new-school shooting touch. He rebounds, passes, and stretches the floor. His outlet passing ability is eerily reminiscent of Kevin Love. The numbers are ridiculous for a true freshman: his 18.7 BPM is second all-time, trailing only Zion Williamson's 20.1 and ahead of Anthony Davis. The lone question is whether he has the mobility to guard fours.

Statistics: 19.8 ppg, 9.4 rpg, 2.7 apg, 1.5 spg, 1.4 bpg, 57.8% FG, 25.9% 3P in 24 games
Wilson is an uber-athletic player who thrived as an interior finisher and defensive presence and has the lob-threat potential to become a Gen Z version of Blake Griffin. His 1.111 PPP on offense (top 10%) and 0.789 PPP allowed show how he impacts both ends of the floor. The three-point shot is a work in progress, but inside the arc he's a problem.
An NBA executive told HoopsHype: "Caleb Wilson is the clear 4. That athleticism separates him from everyone after the Top 3."

Statistics: 23.5 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 6.4 apg, 0.8 spg, 0.3 bpg, 48.4% FG, 44.0% 3P in 36 games
Darius Acuff is a true point guard who scores at will and bombs from three. He's small by NBA standards, a real concern given the recent exodus of undersized guards, but he's crafty and his passing shows he's not just a gunner. The defense is average at best when he's engaged. The offensive toolkit is special.
A pro scout told HoopsHype: "Darius profiles as being a 25-point-per-game scorer in the NBA. His offense is really amazing, and the shooting is there. You need to be insane to lead a team being that size. Look at Jalen Brunson, he was a much better defender than Darius, won two championships in college, and still went second round. With Trae Young, it's really hard to build around a guy like that when he can't play defense. When things go down with undersized guards, the narrative becomes 'he can't play defense.' Even with Jamal Murray, who's taller and a better defender, you saw the issues he had against bigger opponents."

Statistics: 17.9 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 4.2 apg, 0.9 spg, 0.4 bpg, 44.5% FG, 39.7% 3P in 37 games
Wagler is a big, efficient combo guard who shoots it well from deep, gets to the free-throw line and is a solid secondary playmaker. His 1.069 PPP on offense (top 25%) and solid defense (0.873 PPP) make him a low-risk bet. Not a star-upside player, but a starting-level rotation piece with ballhandling, size, and shooting.
A pro scout told HoopsHype: "What you want out of a secondary creator is somebody that can read the game like Keaton can. He's probably more of a two guard in the NBA, maybe a swingman. He’s a problem once he gets past the free-throw line on drives; he draws fouls at the basket as you would want. Depending on how his testing comes out at the combine, that could be a concern."

Statistics: 16.1 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 5.2 apg, 1.5 spg, 0.3 bpg, 47.6% FG, 38.7% 3P in 37 games
Kingston Flemings is a floor general and a defensive menace with elite basketball IQ and instincts. His 0.684 PPP allowed ranks top 10% nationally; he was a pitbull for Houston's defense. Offensively, he's an above-average shot creator (0.993 PPP) who gets to the paint with speed and is a willing passer. The shooting numbers are solid despite some streaky stretches. He's the kind of two-way guard teams like to build around.
Feb 17, 2026; Dallas, Texas, USA; Louisville Cardinals guard Mikel Brown Jr. (0) looks on during the second half against the SMU Mustangs at Moody Coliseum. Mandatory Credit: Jerome Miron-Imagn Images

Statistics: 18.2 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 4.7 apg, 1.2 spg, 0.1 bpg, 41.0% FG, 34.4% 3P in 21 games
Mikel Brown Jr. is a score-first guard with some passing chops who suffered a back injury that limited him. The shooting splits aren't pretty, and the injury likely contributed to the inefficiency, but the volume and confidence are there. Defense is average, though Brown Jr. has the size to be at least passable on that end. He's a project, but the tools are intriguing.
An assistant coach told HoopsHype: "Mikel Brown should be in the same conversation as Kingston, but the back injury affected things. Injuries do kind of affect the outlook sometimes, like college is a small sample size, but injuries matter."
Feb 28, 2026; Tucson, Arizona, USA; Arizona Wildcats guard Brayden Burries (5) celebrates during the first half of the game against the Kansas Jayhawks at McKale Memorial Center. Mandatory Credit: Aryanna Frank-Imagn Images

Statistics: 16.1 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 2.4 apg, 1.5 spg, 0.2 bpg, 49.1% FG, 39.1% 3P in 39 games
Brayden Burries is a physical, high-motor combo guard who plays efficient offense and competes on defense. He really is a hustler who plays a winning brand of basketball. He's not a primary creator, but he spaces the floor, defends and makes winning plays. High-floor two-guard, even if the NBA length isn't there.
An assistant coach told HoopsHype: "His physical tools aren't anything to write home about. You kind of have to believe that if he's a combo guard, he can help you on both ends, but the upside question is there because of how old he is. I think he has a very high floor because of his playstyle and effort."

Statistics: 16.7 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 2.3 apg, 1.0 spg, 0.6 bpg, 39.9% FG, 33.3% 3P in 35 games
Nate Ament is a rangy combo forward with god-given tools and projectable defensive versatility (0.803 PPP allowed, top 25%). He's labeled as a movement shooter, but the offense is a work in progress: sub-40% from the field is rough and the turnovers are bad. The frame, intangibles and defensive tools are there, though. A classic "bet on the body and the idea" prospect.
An NBA executive told HoopsHype: "I don't think Ament falls much lower than the lottery, intriguing physical tools but risky pick depending where he’s selected."
Michigan forward Yaxel Lendeborg (23) shoots a free throw against Indiana during the second half at Crisler Center in Ann Arbor on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026.

Yaxel Lendeborg is a stat-sheet stuffer who was playing out of position as a wing next to a double-big frontcourt. The ability to pass, dribble and shoot efficiently is impressive (1.194 PPP, top 10%), and the defense is above average (0.827 PPP). He's older, but he produces, and he got better after scaling up from UAB to Michigan. A glue guy who can start or come off the bench on day one.
An assistant coach told HoopsHype: "The combine carries some weight for Lendeborg. We'll see how he measures out. Rotation piece? Sure. Starter? Not sold."

Statistics: 22.0 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 5.0 apg, 1.2 spg, 0.2 bpg, 50.1% FG, 39.9% 3P in 33 games
Labaron Philon is a two-way combo guard with point guard-like skills. A three-level scorer who carried a massive usage rate for Alabama, he played a different role this year as the lead guard. The production was good even though the defense slipped from last year, when he was a point-of-attack defender next to Mark Sears, but it's still passable. He's a microwave off the bench or a spot starter.
An assistant coach told HoopsHype: "Philon is really skinny and doesn't have great physical tools, but you can tell he's a hooper for sure. I don't think Burries is that much ahead of him, they're pretty close to each other."

Karim Lopez is the international man of mystery in this class: a long, athletic combo forward with a big wing frame, playing pro for the New Zealand Breakers and young for the class. The offensive production is solid (1.030 PPP, 77th percentile), but the defensive tape is troubling. The high-release jumper and the ability to pass, dribble and shoot could push him into the first half of the draft.
An assistant coach told HoopsHype: "Because the draft class has gotten weaker, Karim is a guy that could climb back into the lottery."

Statistics: 18.5 ppg, 11.8 rpg, 1.6 apg, 1.1 spg, 1.2 bpg, 57.7% FG, 34.0% 3P in 30 games
Hannes Steinbach is a double-double machine with great offensive output (1.145 PPP, top 10%), and he did it without a point guard feeding him. He rebounds like a maniac and shoots it well enough from deep to keep defenses honest. Defense is average, though. He's an undersized five in a four's body, without the length or athleticism to make up for it... and that's a concern.
A pro scout told HoopsHype: "One thing I want to point out is that Steinbach is not an Alperen Sengun or Domantas Sabonis type big. Some people are miscategorizing him just because he's European. If he was that type of player, we'd have him in the Top 5."

Quaintance barely played due to recurring ailments to the knee injury he suffered at Arizona State. But the tools, motor and his ASU tape have scouts intrigued. He's a total projection. Could be anything, could be nothing.
An NBA executive told HoopsHype: "With Quaintance, he's one of the youngest guys in the draft still, and people were willing to write this year off for him. He had such great potential and tape as a freshman as a defender that I think he still probably goes somewhere in the Top 20."

Aday Mara is a behemoth with soft touch and elite shot-blocking; his presence alone deters shots at the rim. He's also an offensive hub with good passing touch and vision (1.081 PPP). Slow-footed, but huge. For a defensive anchor, the 0.860 PPP allowed is solid but not game-changing. A throwback big who might stick as a backup passing rim protector.
A pro scout told HoopsHype: "Mara is huge and blocks shots, that's worth something. But he's older, a bit slow-footed. His mobility is what worries me, and he isn’t much of a rebounder for being so tall.”

Statistics: 19.8 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 4.4 apg, 1.4 spg, 0.2 bpg, 47.7% FG, 35.8% 3P in 37 games
Stirtz is an extension of the coach on the floor that can orchestrate an offense effectively (1.098 PPP, top 10%). Gives his all on both ends and is solid on defense (0.819 PPP allowed). He's an older prospect, so the upside is probably capped, but he's ready to contribute. A plug-and-play backup guard that could be a spot starter.
A pro scout told HoopsHype: "Stirtz is probably more mid-to-late first than lottery, but there's a possibility. I would bank that he's a point guard, because if he's a two, it's hard to play him unless you have some defensive infrastructure around him."

Koa Peat is a defensive stud (0.729 PPP allowed, top 10%) whose lineman heritage gives him real strength in a 6-8 frontcourt frame. He lacks a jumper, but he can put it on the floor and attack the rim, and the offense grades above average (0.986 PPP). He's undersized as a five but mobile and strong. Without the jumper, though, it's hard to see him at the four. He projects as a small-ball combo big who switches, bullies and spaces a little.
A pro scout told HoopsHype: "Shooting is at such a premium now. You have to believe Koa just does everything amazing outside of shooting, and that's a tough sell."

Cameron Carr transferred from Tennessee after an injury-plagued start to his career, and at Baylor he's been a volume scorer from three who creates in bunches (1.080 PPP, top 25%). When engaged, he's a plus defender; even when he's not, the defense grades out as average. He's got size, shooting and some shot-blocking pop for a guard.

Christian Anderson Jr. is a pass-first point guard who shoots it lights out, creates out of nothing and handles the ball well. Small but productive: the assist numbers jump off the page, and he led the NCAA in total points created. Defense is a question, but the offensive package is real.
An assistant coach told HoopsHype: "Christian Anderson is more talented as a playmaker and shot creator than people realize. He might be just as good, or just a tier below, Darius and Kingston. His size probably has something to do with why the hype isn't higher."

Morez Johnson is a play finisher with a non-stop motor and the potential to extend his range. A strong, physical big who played out of position at Michigan, he rebounds and blocks shots.
"Morez Johnson could end up being drafted surprisingly higher than some people think because of his rebounding ability and his motor. The fact that he played all year at the four and did well shows he has some defensive versatility. His offensive game is still so limited, though."

Chris Cenac is a raw big with size, a great defensive foundation and a developing jumper. The offense grades average (0.986 PPP), partly the result of him drifting as a perimeter-bound big at times, but he's a solid defender who guards every position (0.896 PPP). He's a project and you would be betting on the frame, athleticism, defense and shooting touch all coming together.
An NBA executive told HoopsHype: "Cenac rebounds and runs. Cenac is more of a five, he doesn't have the perimeter skills you'd want to keep him at the four."

Isaiah Evans is a high-volume shooter who won't create off the dribble for himself or others. A perfect plug-and-play 3-and-D role player who was in last year's draft as a projected late first-rounder.
A pro scout told HoopsHype: "There's just not enough three-point shooters like Isaiah Evans in this draft. I think he has that advantage and could stay in."

Graves is an intriguing prospect who came off the bench as his team's sixth man. He's a two-way machine (1.130 PPP on offense, top 10%) and an agent of chaos defensively. He could still transfer to a blue blood and boost his stock for next year's weaker class.
A pro scout told HoopsHype: "I don't know if the interest is truly there beyond Graves being a Draft Twitter statistical darling. The defensive stats stand out, and he's a good passer. From what he was saying, it seemed like he was really interested in staying in. Money talks."

Offense is strong as a playmaker that can create for himself off the dribble and for others. He's a low-usage, volume shooting guard who fits anywhere but has point guard-like skills that were seen in flashes due to him playing off-ball.
A pro scout told HoopsHype: "Meleek is so deadly from the corner and he has lead guard skills that flashed playing off of Acuff.”

Yessoufou is an athletic wing who defends and reminds us of Josh Okogie/Isaac Okoro, but struggles from deep. His offense is average at best, doesn’t have much ball skill and needs someone to create for him (0.995 PPP). For having the traits he possesses and having played at Baylor, his defense was a bit below average (0.935 PPP), which was a disappointment.
A pro scout told HoopsHype: "Yessoufou's athletic, he’s a long-term project that won’t be playable at first. If you have patience, he is a toolsy wing who could figure it out.”

His offense is limited to five-feet from the basket but is effective (1.077 PPP, top 25%), great team defender (0.699 PPP allowed). His floor is, at the very least is being a backup center who rebounds well and protects the rim.
An NBA executive told HoopsHype: "Reed is long with a 7-5 wingspan. What makes him better on offense is his footwork. He's also bigger and pretty nimble for his size."
