The New York Jets are facing a huge season in Year 2 with Aaron Glenn, after a horror first year that saw the franchise win just three games.
We knew it wasn't going to be a quick fix, but in his second season, Glenn has to get his team to show some sort of improvement, because another year like 2025, and you could make the case that New York is looking for another head coach.
The draft is where the rebuild can be accelerated, and the Jets hold the No. 2 overall pick, so who could the franchise target?
Fox Sports' Rob Rang has done a mock draft with each team's ideal draft pick, and for the Jets, it's Ohio State receiver Carnell Tate.
"Garrett Wilson was the only receiver currently on the Jets roster to catch a touchdown pass in 2025, and make no mistake — the 10th overall pick of the 2022 draft was hardly dominant last year, scoring just four times," Rang wrote. "The Jets should strongly consider peddling some of their picks for the Eagles’ A.J. Brown, but Tate also profiles as a No. 1 target."

Look at the weapons available for Geno Smith right now; it is going to be tough sledding for the Jets in 2026 unless reinforcements come in.
Yes, there's Garrett Wilson, but behind him? Adonai Mitchell, Isaiah Williams, and Arian Smith, that's it. So, getting another weapon is a good idea.
But at No. 2? I'm not sure about that, especially with the defensive studs on the board.
Still, how the Jets play this out will be interesting to watch, because this is a draft Glenn and Darren Mougey can't afford to mess up.
The ideal draft selection for the New York Jets in 2025 is Ohio State receiver Carnell Tate, according to analyst Rob Rang.
Head coach Aaron Glenn faces the challenge of improving the team's performance after a disappointing first season that resulted in only three wins.
Holding the No. 2 overall pick in the draft is significant for the Jets as it provides an opportunity to select a top talent like Carnell Tate to help accelerate their rebuilding process.
