The Kansas City Chiefs hit several key markers with their draft class, and as is the case every season, analysts grade and react to each team's draft haul.
The Chiefs boasted two first-round picks and grabbed Mansoor Delane after trading up with the Cleveland Browns, before selecting edge rusher R Mason Thomas later in the first-round.
Delane is seen as one of the best corners, while Thomas is seen as a player who can contribute straight away for Steve Spagnuolo's defense.
CBS Sports' Ryan Wilson, it isn't Delane that is his favorite pick of the Chiefs' draft; it's Thomas.
"Mansoor Delane is the easy pick here, but so too is R Mason Thomas, who I thought had a chance to sneak into Round 1," Wilson wrote. "He's Nik Bonitto, also a former second-rounder out of Oklahoma, who is now one of the best pass rushers in the league. Thomas adds some juice off the edge for a team that desperately needs it."

The Chiefs desperately needed pass-rush help, with Chris Jones and George Karlaftis not able to do it all themselves, and the hope is that Thomas can come in and be productive.
Coming off a college season that saw Thomas post 9.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks, the production is there, and how coordinator Steve Spagnuolo will use the rookie will make for fascinating viewing.
Not often are rookies expected to come in and be key contributors straight away, but the Chiefs need Thomas to be an integral part of the defense.
Time will tell if the rookie is up to the task.
