Angel Reese is entering her third WNBA season with a fresh perspective and a new zip code. Despite finishing her sophomore year as the leagueâs rebounding leader and the Chicago Skyâs standout star, the Bayou Barbie is no longer lacing up for the Windy City. Instead, Reese has taken her talents to Atlanta, joining a stacked Dream roster alongside All-Stars Rhyne Howard, Brionna Jones, and Allisha Gray. In a recent interview, the LSU alum teased what fans can expect from her revamped game and what sheâs most anticipating as she settles into her role in the A.

According to The Blast, the Chicago Sky traded Reese to the Atlanta Dream on April 6, 2026.
âThis trade is designed to achieve roster balance and represents a great opportunity for all parties,â Chicagoâs GM, Jeff Pagliocca, said. âAngel has achieved many record-breaking milestones in her first two years in the WNBA and has been a competitive force for the Sky. We are thankful for her many important contributions to this league and this game, and we know she will continue to have a big impact on the court and beyond.â

Reeseâs stunning trade came after the Victoriaâs Secret modelâs rocky end to her second year with the organization, following her call-out of the team in a summer 2025 interview.
At the time, the Sky had one of the worst records in the league and a roster full of underwhelming, underperforming players. Reese said candidly that while she wanted to stay in Chicago long-term, something would need to shake.
â⊠if things donât pan out, obviously I might have to move in a different direction and do whatâs best for me,â she said.
Despite the turbulent finish, Reese only had positive things to say about her time with the Sky.
âChicago will always be part of my story and Iâm forever grateful for the fans and the city,â she said.
Regarding her first season in the A, Reese appears to be at peace before her first official game against the Minnesota Lynx.
âIâm not focused on proving anything. Iâm focused on winning,â she said. âIâm showing up every day and giving everything Iâve got for my team to help us win.â
And while the love for Chicago may be real, Reese feels the same way about Atlanta. âIâm so excited for this new chapter,â she shared. âThe city has its own energy too, Black excellence, culture, fashion, music. I feel at home.â
Reeseâs transition to the Dream comes at a crucial time for the Georgia-based team, too, as sheâs heading the organizationâs new âHomegrown Collectionâ of merch, featuring loungewear, bags, and jerseys.
âThe Dreamâs Homegrown collection just feels like Atlanta,â Reese said about the new line. âAtlanta has its own energy, and people here know when something is authentic versus when itâs just trendy. I think thatâs what makes it special.â
The âHomegrown Collectionâ was also created with the Dreamâs fans in mindâspecifically women.
According to Reese, womenâs sports fans have been begging for quality merch for years. âThey want products that actually reflect them, their style, their body type, and how they move through the world,â she said.
âI think fans can feel when real thought, design, and intention go into something. And I think this collection proves that womenâs sports deserve the same level of creativity, infrastructure, and investment that every major cultural brand gets,â she added.
The new batch of designs was also created with an important message in mind.
âIâd want her to feel like this was made for her,â Reese said. âConfident. Girls here are expressive, creative, unapologetic, and influential. Iâd want somebody putting this on to feel connected to that. And honestly, Iâd want her to feel proud. Proud of the city, proud of this team, proud of this league and proud of womenâs sports overall.â
