Jo Adell sent the very next Weathers delivery – a 96-mph fastball – an estimated 445 feet over the left field wall.
Weathers then fell behind 2-0 to Jorge Soler, who crushed a 96-mph fastball to left – marking the first time since July 24, 2023 at Colorado that the Angels smashed three straight homers in one inning.
Entering Tuesday night, Weathers hadn’t given up a home run in three starts (16 innings) this year.
Weathers was coming off an eight-inning, one-run performance last Thursday against the A’s in the Bronx, easily the best of his first three Yankees starts.
