Liverpool is set for another player clear-out this summer due to disappointing performances. Key players like Alexander Isak, Conor Bradley, and Giovanni Leoni may be available for transfer.
Another one! Liverpool cult hero now on the verge of surprise exit
Liverpool are going to be having another clear out of their ranks this summer.
The Reds have massively under-delivered this term and, if they don't bring in some new faces, things could end up getting even worse next term.
Indeed, players such as Alexander Isak, Conor Bradley and Giovanni Leoni will all be available from the very start this time around but, with the performances they've put in this term, it's unclear whether they have what it takes to deliver silverware to Anfield.
That's why more and more of the Reds' players are being linked with moves away.
However, the latest rumours to emerge from Anfield could be the last thing that Liverpool's fanbase will have wanted to hear.
Liverpool's midfield is going to be one of the main areas that's changed around this summer.
Curtis Jones and Alexis Mac Allister both look to be on their way out and, after the performances that they've put in this term, it's clear that some new faces are going to be needed among their midfield.
Of course, a lot of their transfers this season will rely on exits which is why Wataru Endo is the latest player to be brought into the spotlight with Bild now stating that the Japan international is close to being transferred away from L4.
"There's movement in midfield at the Reds," they wrote via their website.
"Alexis Mac Allister (27), Curtis Jones (25), and Wataru Endo (33) are all said to be on the verge of leaving."
Endo is obviously not the flashiest player among Liverpool's ranks.
However, the defensive-midfielder has been a solid back-up to Ryan Gravenberch over the last couple of years with the 33-year-old even trying his hand at being a right-back from time to time.
He's hardly been given any playing time by Slot this season but, he's never complained and has, instead, always spoken about how grateful he is to be a Liverpool player.
Although no potential suitors for Endo are named by Bild, the fact that his contract expires next season means that he'd probably be able to leave for a cut-rate fee.
But, for what the Japan international brings to Liverpool, he'd be very hard to replace.
He's a hard-worker and, due to his age and experience, he's likely seen as a mentor by some of the younger members of the squad.
When called upon this term, it's clear that his performance levels have dropped a bit but, since there's already so many changes set to take place this summer, it feels silly for Liverpool to get rid of him, especially since they don't have an awful lot of money to splash.
Players such as Alexander Isak, Conor Bradley, and Giovanni Leoni are likely to be available for transfer this summer.
Liverpool is planning a clear-out due to their underwhelming performance this season, which has raised concerns about their ability to compete for silverware.
The clear-out could lead to a significant reshaping of the squad, potentially affecting team dynamics and performance in the upcoming season.
