The injury is a bone bruise along with a hyperextension in his left knee. Tests confirmed there’s no ligament damage involved, which brought some relief.

Still, the setback is significant enough to keep Edwards off the floor for the near future. Minnesota now has to adjust without its primary scorer and emotional spark.
