Anthony Edwards powers Minnesota Timberwolves past Spurs in game 4 after Victor Wembanyama ejection

Despite clearly laboring physically, Edwards attacked relentlessly down the stretch. He scored on a difficult driving layup, knocked down a pull-up jumper, and buried two huge three-pointers late in the game. His offensive rebound and putback basket with just over two minutes remaining extended Minnesota’s lead to four points and helped seal the victory.

At one point during the fourth quarter, Edwards briefly stepped away during a timeout to receive oxygen before returning to close out the game.

Reid added 15 points and nine rebounds while helping frustrate Wembanyama throughout the first half with physical interior play. Minnesota also received key contributions from its supporting cast as the Timberwolves erased an eight-point fourth-quarter deficit.

San Antonio stayed competitive despite losing Wembanyama early. De’Aaron Fox and Dylan Harper each scored 24 points for the Spurs, but Minnesota’s late surge proved too much to overcome.
