Anthony Richardson's future with the Indianapolis Colts remains up in the air.
Despite Richardson and the Colts agreeing to seek a trade back in late February, no deal has materialized and Richardson remains with Indianapolis.
After not taking part in Phase I of the offseason workout programs, Richardson joined the team for Phase II.
Richardson recently had his high school jersey retired. Following the ceremony, he spoke with Kevin Brockway of the Gainesville Sun about where things stand with the Colts.
"The Colts are still giving me a chance to go out there and work, work hard, and potentially get on the field," Richardson said, via the Indy Star. Glad to be able to stay in the NFL and put the work in. Just showing up at OTAs, it was a blessing in disguise for me because I just wanted to work and they allowed me to do that so I'm thankful for that."
As ESPN's Adam Schefter described previously, no trade has taken place due to a "soft" market for Richardson. The Colts also want to ensure that they get a fair return for the former fourth overall draft pick.
We know that, once healthy, Daniel Jones will be the Colts' starting quarterback, but if Richardson remains on the team, whether or not he will be the backup -- of if that job will go to Riley Leonard -- remains to be seen.
Anthony Richardson remains with the Indianapolis Colts as no trade has been finalized despite earlier discussions.

When asked recently, Shane Steichen was non-committal when it came to what the Colts' quarterback depth chart after Jones looks like.
"If I don't put that work in to be a better player, then I won't be in the NFL," Richardson said. "I just want to work hard and constantly think about my opportunity that I have now and try to take advantage of it."
Presumably, the Colts are still looking to trade Richardson, but options may be dwindling, especially the longer this goes on.
