Arne Slot drops Liverpool transfer hint ahead of summer window
Arne Slot has suggested that Liverpool won’t replace the outgoing Andy Robertson with a new signing in the summer transfer window.
The left-back last month announced that he would be leaving Anfield at the end of the season when his contract expires.
Robertson isn’t the only veteran departing the club this year, with Mo Salah also announcing his impending exit in March.
That leaves Liverpool with some pretty big gaps to fill in their squad ahead of next season, although Robertson’s replacement may already be in place.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of this Saturday’s Premier League clash with Chelsea, Slot mentioned that Robertson will “probably be replaced” by Kostas Tsimikas.
The Greece international has spent this season on loan with Roma, for whom he has made 25 appearances in all competitions. He is due to return to Liverpool this summer.

When asked if he is worried that next season will be another year of transition for the club, Slot responded: “I’m only looking forward to it so I’m not worried at all. As I looked forward to working with these players two years ago and one year ago, to look forward to the players I am working with now.
“As a manager you’re never worried, you’re just looking forward to working with players. There will probably be another little transition but not as drastic as last summer.
“We have to change personnel because of the two players who are leaving. One player probably replaced by Kostas Tsimikas who is coming back off loan. I am only looking forward to starting again next season.”
