As for Isak, who was absent for four months of the season with a broken leg before missing Liverpoolâs latest defeat to Manchester United with a âminorâ problem, Slot was hesitant about his return at the weekend, saying: âAlex [Iask] has trained with us again, only for the first time, yesterday. So that is a positive, yesterday he did pasts of it [training]. Hopefully he can do parts or all of it today. Then we will see how much we can use him tomorrow.â
Ibrahima Konate and Florian Wirtz had also been missing from training during the week, though Slot confirmed that there was no major concern with either player.
âIbou had a personal reason not to be there [training on Wednesday] but was yesterday and today again and Florian was a bit unwell but he trained with us yesterday also,â he said.
