Ismeal Kabia has returned to Arsenal after his loan at Shrewsbury Town and received his Goal of the Month award at the club's training ground.

Arsenal youngster Ismeal Kabia concluded his loan spell with Shrewsbury Town earlier this month, but he’s seemingly yet to begin his summer holidays.
The 20-year-old won the League Two Goal of the Month award with a stunning strike in his final appearance for Shrewsbury against Fleetwood Town, and he shared a picture of his receipt of the award at Arsenal’s London Colney training ground on Saturday.

Kabia also recently said his farewell to Shrewsbury on Instagram, writing simply: “Thank you, Shrewsbury Town 💙🧡”
Shrewsbury achieved their goal of avoiding relegation to the National League, ultimately finishing 10 points clear of the drop. Kabia was heavily involved in that effort, making 43 appearances for the club. 34 of those were League Two starts, with another four substitute showings.

For a forward player, Kabia’s five goal contributions for the season isn’t hugely impressive. But that’s largely down to the fact he spent most of the campaign either playing at wing-back or right-back, limiting his attacking role in the team.

The primary goal of these youth player loans is to get the young player consistent minutes, and Kabia has certainly had that. He’ll now be looking forward to what’s next.
