Viktor Gyökeres has heaped praise on two Tottenham Hotspur legends, potentially landing himself in hot water with Arsenal supporters. The Swedish forward, who joined from Sporting Lisbon last summer, has endured a mixed debut season in North London.
He has netted 18 goals across all competitions, 12 of which have come in the Premier League. However, his performances beyond that have drawn criticism from certain quarters.
Gyökeres may now find himself in further trouble with the Gunners faithful, having sung the praises of two former Spurs strikers. Asked to construct his ultimate striker by TNT Sports, he was quizzed on who possessed the finest finishing ability in world soccer.

He duly selected Spurs' all-time record scorer Harry Kane — with the England captain having bagged 280 goals in 435 appearances for the North London club before departing for Bayern Munich. Gyökeres did back himself in one department, however, claiming the penalty-taking crown as his own. He also selected Real Madrid's Kylian Mbappe for pace and Zlatan Ibrahimovic for physical strength.
Ronaldo Nazario was Gyökeres' choice for dribbling ability, while current Al-Nassr striker Cristiano Ronaldo secured his vote regarding composure. Gyökeres will undoubtedly be hoping to channel the attributes of some of his selections as he seeks to propel Arsenal towards the Premier League title during the final stages of the season.
Mikel Arteta's team currently occupies the top spot but holds just a three-point advantage over Manchester City following their 2-1 loss at the Etihad Stadium. Wayne Rooney criticized Mikel Arteta's choice to leave Gyökeres on the bench for that pivotal game.
He said: "I think these decisions if he comes on and scores the winner or scores the equalizing goal obviously it's the right decision.
"I thought with him not starting, Arsenal would've tried to sit in there. It was a strange one him not starting because you bring a No.9 in which they've been looking for all season, and I actually think he's done OK, to not start him in such a big game I think that might affect him."
