âI have an extraordinary rapport with DâAmico, what he has done for us over the years is something Iâve seen up close,â Percassi told Sky Sport Italia when attending an awards ceremony this evening.
âSince he arrived, Atalanta finished third, fourth, fifth and this season very likely seventh. I can only thank him for all he is doing.
Tony D'Amico is being courted by Milan and Roma.

âOur rapport could probably come to a conclusion, but our mutual esteem will remain forever. Weâll see what happens. The important thing for Atalanta now is to ensure we are ready if Tony does decide to try a new experience, and bring in a replacement who is up to the same standards.â
There are multiple reports today that Atalanta have already agreed terms with former Juventus and Napoli director of sport Giuntoli, and again Percassi was surprisingly forthcoming on the suggestion.

âGiuntoli is one of the best directors in Italian football, he has experience in every level of the sport. Weâll see what happens. I am well aware that Cristiano Giuntoli has many clubs calling him, so weâll see if this is a marriage that can be consummated.
âIf that were to happen, weâd be very happy.â

The Atalanta CEO was also asked about reports that Manchester United and Atletico Madrid are engaging in a bidding war for midfielder Ederson this summer.
âSo far, we do not have any formal offers, just informal interest from clubs, but it is natural that we have players who attract the interest of big clubs and weâll evaluate them at the opportune moment,â concluded Percassi.
