Atubolu transfer valuation set amid AC Milan and Brighton interest
SC Freiburg goalkeeper Noah Atubolu is widely expected to be on the move in the summer, with AC Milan and Brighton & Hove Albion having been mentioned among his suitors.
Given the 23-year-old has just one year left on his contract, Freiburg cannot demand a very high transfer fee and would likely settle for around €20 million, according to Kicker.
The German magazine further reports that Brighton are not currently in active pursuit, while Milan have held talks with Atubolu’s agency. So far, however, there have been no concrete enquiries or offers for the goalkeeper.
Freiburg are well aware of the speculation surrounding their first-choice goalkeeper.
“It’s very remarkable how focused Noah is and how he continues to deliver strong performances despite the uncertainty surrounding his future,” Freiburg sporting director Klemens Hartenbach told Kicker.
Possible replacements for Atubolu include Kjell Scherpen (Union Saint-Gilloise), Mio Backhaus (Werder Bremen), Dennis Seimen (currently on loan from Stuttgart to Paderborn) and (on loan from to Hannover), as per the report.
