247Sports reports that former Stetson offensive tackle Vincent Chen has scheduled a visit to the Plains. Chen, a 6-foot-8, 330-pound lineman from DeLand, Florida, will visit Auburn on Thursday, two days after visiting SEC rival Vanderbilt.
Chen, who grew up in the city where Stetson University is located, is ready to branch out to a larger program after finding success last season with the Hatters by playing all 12 games, making 10 starts, and totaling 687 snaps at left tackle and right guard as a sophomore. He made an impact on Stetson's final three games in pass blocking by grading out at 79.2 or higher in the category, and reached the 80 mark twice in the stretch.
Alex Golesh and the Auburn offensive coaching staff will get the chance to rebuild the Tigers' offensive line after five of Auburn's top-seven snap takers left for the NFL, with the lone notable returner being sophomore Kail Ellis. Cole Best and Cole Skinner followed Alex Golesh to Auburn, and Miami transfer Deryc Plazz, JMU transfer Jo Simmons, and Stanford transfer Jack Leyrer all stood out during spring practice.
Auburn hauled in the No. 55 transfer portal class in Alex Golesh's first offseason on the Plains.
