Some of the regular members of the first team have been excluded from the travelling squad due to their IPL commitments as series clashes with the final phase of the IPL 2026 season.

Star Australian players miss out on Pakistan tour due to IPL playoff

Star Australian cricketers like Pat Cummins, Travis Head, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazle, Xavier Barllett, Cooper Connolly and Matthew Short have been excluded from the Australian squad that will travel to Pakistan next month as it clashes with the final stage of IPL 2026.

Most of those players are all set to qualify for the playoff stage with their respective teams, like SRH, RCB and PBKS.

All-rounder Mitchell Marsh, however, has been picked in the squad as his IPL side, LSG, is on the verge of facing elimination from the league stage.
