A plethora of names have been mentioned as potential targets for the La Liga leaders, one of whom happens to be Mika Godts of AFC Ajax.
The 20-year-old starlet is enjoying a fine season for the Dutch giants, attracting the interest of several European heavyweights heading into the transfer window.
Providing an update on the interest in Godts, X user and journalist ‘SullyTalkz‘ reports that Barcelona were among the clubs who had scouts present last weekend to watch Godts in action for Ajax.
The Dutch giants faced off against rivals PSV Eindhoven at the Johan Cruijff ArenA this past week in a match that ended in a 2-2 draw.
Godts had a major impact on the match as he assisted Ajax’s first goal, scored by Anton Gaaei, before he found the back of the net himself in stoppage time to equalise for his team.

With these contributions, Godts took his tally for the season to 17 goals and 14 assists from 40 matches across all competitions.
Given his performances, a number of top clubs have shown an interest apart from Barcelona.
Indeed, as per the aforementioned report, scouts from Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Bayern Munich were also in attendance at the Johan Cruijff ArenA to watch the young Belgian closely.
Some reports in Spain have suggested that Barcelona are not very interested in signing the 20-year-old winger, but their continued monitoring of him seems to suggest otherwise.
After all, Godts could be a much more feasible option for the Blaugrana, compared to other targets like Anthony Gordon of Newcastle United, who is out of their reach.
