Barcelona begin initial talks with Inter Milan for Alessandro Bastoni
Barcelona are already planning ahead for the next phase of their project, and one name on their radar is Alessandro Bastoni.
According to journalist Matteo Moretto, it has come to light that early contacts have taken place between Barcelona and Inter Milan as both clubs begin exploring the feasibility of a potential deal.
At this stage, there are no formal negotiations, but discussions have centred around understanding the structure of a possible transfer, particularly the financial framework and the inclusion of players in the deal.
One key detail emerging from these initial contacts is that there are no anticipated obstacles from the player’s side.
Bastoni is seen as open to the move in principle, even though his current focus remains fully aligned with Inter’s immediate objectives.
Providing context to the defender’s mindset, Moretto explains, “Bastoni is absolutely focused on Inter; he wants to win the Scudetto.
“He wants to achieve a series of important sporting results and finish the season with Inter on a high.”
Behind the scenes, however, groundwork is already being laid.

Barcelona and Inter have started analysing possible pathways to make the deal happen, including how the financial package could be structured.
Given Barcelona’s current economic model, a straightforward cash deal appears unlikely.
Instead, the idea of including players as part of the agreement is on the table and one name that has emerged prominently in these conversations is Hector Fort.
The young right-back, currently on loan at Elche, is highly rated by Inter and could be used as a bargaining chip in negotiations.
From Barcelona’s perspective, this creates an interesting dilemma, as Fort is considered a long-term asset, with a contract running until 2029, but his inclusion could help unlock a deal for a top-level defender like Bastoni.
The potential structure being discussed could involve a significant fixed fee combined with one or even two players heading in the opposite direction.
However, the exact formula remains undecided, as both clubs continue to evaluate what works best for their respective sporting and financial strategies.
