Barcelona convey their intention to sign La Liga veteran to his agent – report
FC Barcelona have clear priorities in the transfer market: a centre-forward, a winger, and a central defender. However, there is also an important internal matter to resolve: the goalkeeping position.
Joan Garcia, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Wojciech Szczesny, Inaki Pena, Diego Kochen, Aron Yaakobishvili, and Ander Astralaga are all under contract with the club, yet most of them do not feature in Hansi Flick’s plans.
Ter Stegen is expected to move on in the summer, while Barça are also in the market for a more competitive second-choice goalkeeper to take over from Szczesny.
In that context, the name of Real Sociedad shot-stopper Alex Remiro has been floated as a potential target.
Now, according to Santi Ovalle on , in several meetings with his agent, Barcelona have expressed their interest in securing Remiro’s services.
The specific La Liga veteran Barcelona intends to sign has not been disclosed in the report.
Barcelona's transfer priorities include acquiring a centre-forward, a winger, and a central defender.
Marc-Andre ter Stegen is expected to leave in the summer, and the club is looking for a competitive second-choice goalkeeper to replace Wojciech Szczesny.

The Spanish international is under contract at Real Sociedad until 2027, and, as per previous reports, he could be available for as little as €10 million.
Remiro is currently focused on the World Cup, one of his major ambitions, and has not yet made any decision regarding his future.
Joining Barcelona would be an attractive step for most players, but the veteran shot-stopper does not wish to end his time at Real Sociedad on a negative note.
At the same time, the report further suggests that Barcelona are also considering waiting until 2027, when he would be available as a free agent.
So, the Blaugrana intend to bring in Remiro to the club, but his signing is not seen as an immediate priority this summer, with the club being open to waiting until 2027, when they can sign him for free.
