While Barcelona’s season could have gone much nicer during the second half of the campaign, it was yet another season of positives for Hansi Flick’s men.
One of the key positives was the return of Gavi from injury. The Spaniard started slowly but has now returned to the thick of things and is increasingly becoming a viable option for the Catalans.
With five matches still remaining before the season ends, Gavi is looking for a strong end to the campaign, as he makes an ambitious attempt to become a part of the World Cup squad.
According to MARCA, Gavi has made no secret of his desire to be part of Spain’s squad for this summer’s World Cup and his recent form is making it increasingly difficult for Luis de la Fuente to ignore him.

The Spaniard has started Barcelona’s last four matches, producing consistently impressive numbers throughout.
Against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League first leg, he replaced Pedri at half-time and completed 32 of 33 passes. He then earned a starting spot for the derby against , completing 40 accurate passes across 64 minutes.
Gavi is hopeful and aims to finish the season strong to enhance his chances of being selected for the World Cup.
Since returning from injury, Gavi has become a key player for Barcelona, contributing significantly to the team's performance.
Barcelona has five matches remaining in the current season.

Hansi Flick has also shown immense faith in the midfielder, most notably in the second leg Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid. It was a must-win game, where Gavi played 81 minutes, completing 91% of his passes while winning five of eight duels.
Flick has been quite vocal about Gavi’s improvement as well, stating that he has been a different player since his return from injury.
However, the competition for midfield spots in the Spain squad is fierce, with up to 13 players vying for six or seven positions. But Gavi’s form right now, nothing can be ruled out.
