While it is clear that the team’s attacking output is significantly poorer without Yamal, the club have decided that the teenage sensation will not play for the team again this season.
After all, the upcoming FIFA World Cup later this year is what is on his mind, and the player does not wish to miss that competition under any circumstances.
As reported by Cadena SER, Yamal has already begun his recovery at the club facilities and was at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper earlier this week, working on his return.
The Spanish forward is already working in the gym and has worked individually in the team’s training facility.
What’s bigger is that he has also started working on the grass cautiously under the guidance of the team’s staff.

His injury was said to need between six and eight weeks out, and given that he was injured on April 22nd, the best-case scenario placed him as a candidate to return just in time for the World Cup.
Even if his recovery requires a few extra weeks, however, Luis de La Fuente and Co. have no intention of excluding the Barcelona star and will help him work towards a speedy return, even if it is midway through the event.
